Defect Summary
Vehicle description: limousine and hearse model vehicles. the right front brake hose can contact the wheel resulting in damage to the brake hose.
Safety Consequence
If the hose becomes damaged, there can be a loss of brake fluid and pressure in half of the brake system. the brake pedal will be lower than normal and stopping distances will be longer, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the right front brake hose assembly. the left front brake hose assembly will also be replaced to prevent the possibility of incorrect position of the hose during any future service.
