Defect Summary
Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. the abs (anti-lock braking system)/asr (traction control system) electronic control unit is affected by an error in production by the supplier.
Safety Consequence
The abs feature may not function and could cause the brake failure warning light to illuminate. also, the electronic brake force distribution feature would not function causing vehicle instability under very hard braking.
Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the abs/asr electronic control unit.
