Defect Summary
Vehicle description: medium duty trucks. the fuel filter support bracket can crack and break due to vibration, which could allow the fuel filter to separate and lodge on top of the chassis frame.
Safety Consequence
The fuel filter support bracket could then come in contact with the engine assembly.
Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the fuel filter bracket with a redesigned fuel bracket to prevent cracking and breaking during normal vehicle operation.
