Defect Summary

Equipment description: auto pride brake parts cleaner and auto pride engine degreaser, labeled as 05089ap, manufactured on june 9, 2001, and september 18, 2001, were mislabeled in the production process and do not inform the user that the formula in the can is flammable.

Safety Consequence

If this product is used in an area where there is the presence of an ignition source, a fire could result.

Corrective Action

Crc is notifying its distributors and customers to return the product for a free replacement. distributor/owner notification began november 27, 2001. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact crc industries at 215-674-4300.
