Vehicle description: heavy duty trucks. the driveline u-joint fasteners at the output yoke of the transmission were improperly tightened.
Safety Consequence
Under-tightened fasteners can lead to the driveline becoming detached from the vehicle resulting in property damage or personal injury.
Corrective Action
Dealers will tighten the driveline fasteners to the proper specification. owner notification began november 26, 2001. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact kenworth at 1-425-828-5000.
