Defect Summary
On certain park model trailers equipped with suburban model p-40 (stock number 2230) furnaces, the fans on the defective combustion air blower are improperly oriented. this results in an inadequate supply of combustion air to the burner in the furnace which will result in excessive carbon monoxide in the furnace exhaust.
Safety Consequence
If carbon monoxide is not detected, it could result in personal injury or death.
Corrective Action
Suburban will replace the combustion air blower wheel free of charge. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact suburban 423-775-2131 or silvercrest at 1-530-662-9156.
