Defect Summary

On certain motor coaches, the electrical cable attached to the b+ stud, which is located on the engine cradle and found in the curbside engine compartment, may have been positioned so as to allow the cable to rub against the ground stud.

Safety Consequence

A short circuit could occur and result in a fire.

Corrective Action

Owners will be provided remedy instructions. the recall began on october 25, 2002. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact mci at 1-800-241-2947.
