Defect Summary

On certain motorcycles, the weld on the stainless steel handlebars could break, limiting the ability to use the hand controls.

Safety Consequence

This can increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the handlebars. owner notification began november 15, 2002. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact big dog at 1-316-267-2597.
