Defect Summary

Rm racing lamp kits which fail to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108. the light kits emit light that is brighter than premitted by fmvss no. 108.

Safety Consequence

An undesirable glare in the eyes of oncoming drivers may cause discomfort, and possible disability while driving.

Corrective Action

Rm racing will notify its customers and repurchase the noncompliant light kits. owner notification began may 15, 2003. owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact rm racing at 1-866-rmrace1.
