Defect Summary
On certain fifth wheel vehicles ,the federal certification label has an incorrect axle weight rating. the initial label read 12,100 with 5,200 lb. Axles. corrected label should read 14,400 with 6,000 lb. Axles.
Safety Consequence
These vehicles do not comply with the regulations.
Corrective Action
Dealers will install a corrected label on these vehicles. owner notification began april 15, 2003. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free label within a reasonable time should contact monaco at 1-877-466-8226.
