Defect Summary

On certain motor coaches equipped with emergency exit windows fail to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 205, "glazing materials." the emergency exit window was not marked correctly with the "dot" markings.

Safety Consequence

This does not meet the standards.

Corrective Action

Dealers are etching the correct marking into the glazing. owner notification began december 1, 2003 with phased mailing dates. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact setra at 1-800-882-8054.
