Hid headlight conversion kits. These lighting sources do not conform the electrical specifications that are required by federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."
Safety Consequence
These lights produce excessive glare to oncoming traffic.
Corrective Action
Street glow will recall the noncompliant kits and offer refunds. owner notification began march 9, 2004. owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact street glow at 973-709-9000 ext. 152.
