Defect Summary

Ll bean vagabond 11 and 15 roof top cargo carrier. the 4 attachment points or straps used to secure the carrier to the vehicle are not strong enough to hold the carrier in place while the vehicle is traveling at highway speeds.

Safety Consequence

The carrier could blow off the roof of the vehicle, possibly causing a following motorist(s) to crash.

Corrective Action

Ll bean will replace the carrier with a new, stronger carrier. owner notification is expected to begin may 30, 2004. owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact seattle sports at 206-782-0773.
