Defect Summary
Cooper zeon xst size 305/35r24 manufactured between january 11 and january 17, 2004. these tires may have a condition of insufficient innerliner gauge. when this condition exists, loss of inflation pressure could cause the tire to run under-inflated and result in early tire failure.
Safety Consequence
The loss of air could result in loss of steering control, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash without prior warning.
Corrective Action
Cooper tire will notify its customers and replace the affected tires free of charge. owner notification began march 9, 2004. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact copper tire's consumer relations at 1-800-54-6288.
