Defect Summary

Certain motor homes fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 110, "tire selection and rims." the federal identification tag is incorrect. the tag states the rim size is 22.5x6.75g range. the correct rim size is 22.5x7.5f range.

Safety Consequence

An incorrect rim could be placed on the vehicle which could result in a tire blowout increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the tag. owner notification began march 11, 2004. owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact monaco at 1-800-685-6545.
