Defect Summary

Certain cargo vehicles, equipped with an option for retrofitting with a partition wall, fail to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 201, "occupant protection in interior impact." the interior roof foam inserts may not have been installed.

Safety Consequence

This could increase the risk of injury to front seat occupants during certain crash conditions.

Corrective Action

Dealers will install roof foam inserts if found missing. this recall began april 7, 2004. owners should contact daimlerchrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
