Defect Summary

On certain single axle brush chipper trailers, fatigue and cracks can occur in the tongue weldment.

Safety Consequence

Tongue failure can occur resulting in separation from the towed vehicle which can increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the tongue free of charge. the recall is began march 7, 2005. Owners may contact vermeer at 641-628-3141.
