Defect Summary
On certain 60' articulated transit buses, the starter cable and additional heavy gauge wires had inadvertently been attached to the starter stud during the manufacturing and assembly process.
Safety Consequence
Over time, the starter solenoid could crack and a short circuit might develop that would result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective Action
These vehicles were sent to only one customer, new jersey transit. all vehicles have been corrected.
