Axle spindle/wheel end can fracture
Defect Summary
Certain imt axles with f24 spindles manufactured between february and november 2005 and installed as original equipment on trailers. due to improper material used on the axle spindle the spindle can bend or break causing the wheel end to come loose.
Safety Consequence
While braking, the spindle can break allowing the wheel to separate from the trailer, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash.
Corrective Action
The owners will be notified by the vehicle manufactured and the axles will be replaced free of charge.
