Defect Summary
On certain pull trailers equipped with air ride suspensions, the integrity of the weld sequencing could potentially result in cracking at the rear of the suspension frame.
Safety Consequence
Such a crack, if left unattended could progress to an abrupt failure in the dolly frame. failure to have the unit upgraded could result in a crash without prior warning.
Corrective Action
Dealers will upgrade the welding which involves the addition of a steel bar to reinforce the frame structure. the recall began on february 16, 2006. owners may contact heil at 1-800-400-6913, extension 353 or 574.
