Defect Summary

Certain light trucks fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 206, "door locks and door retention components." an arc weld is missing on some right side rear door upper latch assemblies.

Safety Consequence

This may result in the right side doors coming partially open increasing the risk of injury to occupants.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the upper latch assembly free of charge. the recall began on april 3, 2006. owners may contact nissan at 800-662-6200.
