Spare tire support bracket
Defect Summary
Certain travel trailers may have been equipped with improperly constructed spare tire support brackets that cause the spare tire to hang too low to the ground.
Safety Consequence
If the spare tire contacts the ground it can break away from its support, creating a road hazard which may result in vehicle damage and/or personal injury.
Corrective Action
Dealers will inspect and relocate the spare tire and carrier to allow sufficient ground clearance free of charge. the recall began on october 31, 2006. owners may contact fleetwood at 800-445-3307.
