Defect Summary

Certain aftermarket hid conversion kits with bulbs and ballasts sold by visiontrex for use on passenger vehicles. the hid conversion kits fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.

Safety Consequence

Oncoming traffic may experience a higher than normal amount of glare which could affect the driver's vision, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash without warning.

Corrective Action

Visiontrex will notify its owners and offer for reimbursement the noncompliant kits. the recall began on september 6, 2007. owners may contact visiontrex at 626-638-3026.
