Defect Summary

On certain trucks, the nut that retains the steering wheel may not have been installed.

Safety Consequence

If the retaining nut was not installed, the steering wheel may come off, which could result in a vehicle crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will remove the horn button to confirm that the retaining nut was installed. a retaining nut will be added if the nut is missing. the recall began on february 12, 2007. owners may contact mack trucks at 800-866-1177.
