Defect Summary
On certain fire trucks, the vehicle cab hydraulic lift system used to raise and lower the cab for maintenance can fail.
Safety Consequence
If the cab is left in a raised position, it may not maintain its tilted upright position. also if the equipment shifts inside the cab while the cab is in the raised position, it could cause an impact load on the tilt cylinders causing the cab to come crashing down, increasing the risk of injury.
