Defect Summary

On certain trucks, the side view mirrors may have been installed incorrectly possibly leading to the mirror glass detaching from the mirror housing.

Safety Consequence

If the mirror glass is lost, the driver may not be able to see traffic approaching from the rear increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will inspect the side view mirrors and, if necessary, replace the mirror materials. the recall began on june 12, 2007. owners may contact hino at 1-248-648-6490.
