Defect Summary

On certain motorcycles, the factory-installed welded gusset plate connecting the frame backbone, neck, and down tube is missing.

Safety Consequence

As a result, additional stress would be placed on the welds causing rapid wear and possible joint separation. frame separation of the neck, down tube, and backbone joints could cause the driver to lose steering and control of the bike, possibly resulting in a crash.

Corrective Action

Ecc is working with rc components to notify owners and the motorcycles will be repaired free of charge. owners can contact rc components at 1-270-842-6000 or ecc at 1-845-778-2100.
