Defect Summary

Oznium is recalling 409 hid headlight kits sold for use as aftermarket parts for motor vehicles. these kits fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

Safety Consequence

These kits produce excessive glare to oncoming traffic which may result in a vehicle crash.

Corrective Action

Oznium will notify owners and offer a refund for the noncompliant kits. the recall began on april 14, 2008. owners may contact oznium toll-free at 800-245-8131.
