Defect Summary

Vt specialized vehicles is recalling my 2003-2008 trucks for failing to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment." the rear side marker lamps as required were omitted during production.

Safety Consequence

The visibility of the vehicle will be reduced.

Corrective Action

Dealers will inspect and add the appropriate lighting free of charge. the recall is expected to begin during october 2009. owners may contact vt specialized vehicles at 252-946-6521.
