Defect Summary

Mack trucks is recalling certain model year 2008-2010 trucks which fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 121, "air brake systems."

Safety Consequence

Failure to conform to the requirements increases the application and release time of the service brakes, which could potentially result in a vehicle crash.

Corrective Action

Dealers will rework the air system free of charge. the safety recall began o january 12, 2010. owners may contact mack trucks at 1-800-528-6586.
