Defect Summary

Setra is recalling certain model year 2009-2010 s417 and model year 2011 s417 tc motor coaches for failing to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 205, "glazing materials." the partition glass behind the driver do not have the necessary dot markings as specified and was not marked correctly.

Safety Consequence

Compliance to fmvss 205 is required for any and all vehicles in the united states to assure minimum safety requirements.

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the partition glass free of charge. the safety recall began on february 22, 2011. owners may contact setra at 800-882-8054.
