Defect Summary
Trimark is recalling certain cab door mount bracket part numbers 28141-01 and 28142-01, sold and installed as original equipment on certain e-one emergency vehicles. if the mounting fasteners are not at proper torque value, the outside door handle mount bracket may potentially rotate out of position. the door system may fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 206, "door locks and door retention components."
Safety Consequence
The door may not stay closed and could open without warning during a crash. persons or objects could fall from the vehicle, possibly resulting in injury.
Corrective Action
Trimark will notify vehicle owners using e-one letterhead and repairs will be made by e-one service centers or by trimark personnel as needed. repairs will be performed free of charge. the safety recall began on july 22, 2011. owners may contact trimark at 1-641-394-1095.
