Defect Summary
Navistar is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 ic ce school buses manufactured from september 7, 2010 through september 9, 2010. the interior lower lining fails to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 221, school bus body joint strength.
Safety Consequence
In the event of a crash, there is an increased risk of personal injury to vehicle occupants.
Corrective Action
Navistar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and retighten joint screws to the proper specification, free of charge. the recall began on july 23, 2012. owners may contact navistar at 1-260-461-1890.
