Defect Summary
Altec industries, inc. Is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 vehicles mounted on a freightliner chassis. due to improper installation, the air supply line of the front brakes is susceptible to kinking.
Safety Consequence
Overtime, the front brake line could become kinked leading to a loss of front brake control, increasing the risk of crash.
Corrective Action
Altec will notify owners, and will repair the vehicles, free of charge. the safety recall began on january 4, 2013. owners may contact altec industries at 1-877-462-5832.
