Defect Summary
Mitsubishi fuso truck of america (mfta) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 fec52, fec72, fec92, and fgb72 trucks. The fuel line may disconnect from the fuel filter head due to an improperly machined connector.
Safety Consequence
As the fuel line loosens and detaches it may leak fuel. leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source such as high temperature components may increase the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action
Mfta will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the affected fuel filter head, free of charge. the safety recall began on december 19, 2012. owners may contact mfta at 1-856-467-4500.
