Defect Summary
Taylor-dunn is recalling certain model year 2011 trident low speed vehicles manufactured from february 2011 through june 2011. the steering wheel shaft may be insufficiently welded to the u-joint.
Safety Consequence
If the weld fails, steering control may be lost while driving, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
Corrective Action
Taylor-dunn will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering shafts, free of charge. the recall is expected to begin in january 2013. owners may contact taylor-dunn at 1-714-956-4040.
