Defect Summary

Bridgestone americas tire operations llc (bridgestone) is recalling certain firestone hp3000 315/80r22.5 18 ply tires manufactured january 2012 through august 2013 and sold to customers in guam. The affected tires may lose pressure from a crack at the inner liner splice. Such a crack could penetrate into the sidewall, resulting in a bulge on the sidewall.

Safety Consequence

A sidewall bulge may result in a tire deflation and subsequent tire failure which increases the risk of a crash.
