Defect Summary
Heartland recreational vehicles (heartland) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 sundance travel trailers, model 322res, manufactured september 13, 2012, through april 30, 2013. the axles are mounted too far forward on the frame which may cause improper trailer balance while towing.
Safety Consequence
Improper trailer balance may lead to uncontrollable trailer sway, increasing the risk of a crash, property damage, and/or personal injury.
Corrective Action
Heartland will notify owners and the trailers will be returned to the factory where axles will be moved rearward, free of charge. the recall began on may 20, 2013. owners may contact heartland recreational trailers' warranty/service department by email at "parts@heartlandrvs.com," or by phone at 1-877-262-8032. heartland's recall campaign number is 99-01-12.
