Defect Summary
Keystone rv is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 laredo fifth wheel vehicles, models 270srl, 280sbh, 290sre and 293sbh, manufactured march 6, 2013, through june 27, 2013. the battery box has inadequate support for the battery and the box may fall out of position during travel.
Safety Consequence
The battery box may fall out of position resulting in electrical shorts which may lead to a fire. also, the battery box may fall from the vehicle creating a road hazard.
Corrective Action
Keystone rv will notify owners and will install a battery box mounting reinforcement kit, free of charge. the recall began on july 22, 2013. owners may contact keystone customer service by calling 1-866-425-4369. keystone's identification code for this recall is 13-194.
