Defect Summary

Jayco is recalling certain model year 2011 jay series pop-up camping trailers. in these vehicles, if a component failure occurs in the roof lifter system, the failure may cause the roof to abruptly collapse to the closed position.

Safety Consequence

If the roof abruptly closes, there is an increased risk of personal injury.

Corrective Action

Jayco will notify owners and dealers will add a metal stop that prevents to sudden collapse of the roof, free of charge. the recall began on december 19, 2013. owners may contact jacyo at 1-800-283-8267 for more information.
