Defect Summary

Roadhouse distribution inc. (roadhouse) is recalling certain voss 888cf motorcycle helmets sizes xs-xxl manufactured june 1, 2013, to october 31, 2014. the affected helmets failed in penetration testing due to inadequate material in the helmet shell. thus, these helmets fail to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) no. 218, "motorcycle helmets."

Safety Consequence

The wearer of the helmet may not be adequately protected, increasing the risk of personal injury during a vehicle crash.

Corrective Action

Roadhouse will notify owners and resellers, and provide a replacement helmet free of charge. the safety recall began january 22, 2015. owners may contact roadhouse distribution inc at 1-877-431-2453.
