Defect Summary
Setra of north america (setra) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 s417 tc motorcoaches manufactured august 2010 to april 2014, and 2012-2014 s407 cc motorcoaches manufactured august 2010 to march 2014. there may be an electrical overload in the control unit of the lights.
Safety Consequence
An electrical overload may result in a short circuit or vehicle fire.
Corrective Action
Setra will notify owners, and dealers will replace the control unit, free of charge. the recall began on july 31, 2014. owners may call setra customer service at 1-866-624-2622. setra's number for this recall is 82.10m08198c. this recall supersedes nhtsa recall no. 13v-465 and setra has expanded the original population to include an additional 63 motorcoaches.
