Defect Summary
Starcraft rv is recalling certain model year 2015 ar-one travel trailers, models 28p, 28r, 28u, 28v, 28s, and 28w, manufactured april 23, 2014, to july 18, 2014. the affected trailers are equipped with the roof ac option, eliminating the roof vent. as such, since there is no widow in the kitchen, there is inadequate venting for the gases emanating from the range.
Safety Consequence
In the event of a situation where the propane gas continues to flow, if the gas range cannot vent, an ignition source may ignite the propane gas, resulting in a fire.
Corrective Action
Starcraft rv will notify owners, and dealers will install a range hood that vents to the outside of the trailer, free of charge. the recall begin on october 28, 2014. owners may contact starcraft rv customer service at 1-800-945-4787. starcraft rv's number for this recall is 9902221.
