Defect Summary

Forest river, inc. (forest river) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 salem and wildwood t174bh recreational vehicles manufactured september 18, 2013, to august 29, 2014. the affected vehicles may have an incorrect gross vehicle weight rating (gvwr) on the certification and tire information labels. as such, the vehicles do not conform to part 567, "certification."

Safety Consequence

If the trailer is loaded to the specifications listed on the label, tire failure may result, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Forest river will notify owners, and will provide corrected labels to the owners, free of charge. the recall began on november 11, 2014. owners may contact forest river customer service at 1-800-353-7383. forest river's number for this recall is 2014-plt6.
