Defect Summary

Kalmar solutions, llc (kalmar) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 kalmar ottawa t2 terminal tractors manufactured september 15, 2014, to february 10, 2015. the affected vehicles have the wiring for the rear axle antilock brake system (abs) components wired incorrectly. specifically, the left side components are connected to the right side of the abs control module and vice versa.

Safety Consequence

If the communication between the abs components and the module is reversed, it can cause vehicle instability during braking, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Corrective Action

Kalmar will notify owners, and dealers will correct the abs wiring, free of charge. the recall is expected to begin april 27, 2015. owners may contact kalmar customer service at 1-785-229-6327.
