Defect Summary
Spartan motors, inc. (spartan) is recalling certain model year 2012-2015 utilimaster walk-in vans and truck body vehicles manufactured january 21, 2014, to march 12, 2015. the affected vehicles are equipped with a back up camera system which may display images from the camera in reverse.
Safety Consequence
If an object or person are on the left side of the screen but are actually on the right side of the vehicle, or vice versa, there is an increased risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Spartan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace any camera that is not displaying the correct images. the recall began on june 24, 2015. owners may contact spartan customer service at 1-800-582-3454.
