Defect Summary

Airstream, inc. (airstream) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 interstate grand tour extended vehicles manufactured july 11, 2014, to september 1, 2015, and interstate lounge extended vehicles manufactured november 21, 2014, to september 1, 2015. the affected vehicles may have electrical wiring connections that were not properly tightened and an interior wiring harness grounding wire that was installed incorrectly.

Safety Consequence

If the electrical connections are loose, or the ground wire is located incorrectly, the wiring may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action

Airstream will notify owners, and dealers will tighten all of the wiring connections and relocate the wiring harness ground wire, free of charge. the recall began on november 12, 2015. owners may contact airstream customer service at 1-937-596-6111 extension 7401 or 7411.
