Defect Summary

Speedtech llc (speedtech) is recalling certain nitrous solenoid valves, part number 100-2115, used in nitrous oxide systems for drag racing. due to improper welding, the affected valves may separate when under pressure either during installation or during use of the nitrous system resulting in the piston ejecting.

Safety Consequence

If the piston ejects, it can increase the risk of injury to those nearby or possibly damage other nearby components.

Corrective Action

Speedtech notified the affected owners, and replaced the valves, free of charge. the recall began on september 7, 2015. additional owner notifications will not be sent. owners may contact speedtech customer service at 1-205-331-4972.
