Valve bank cover may crack and detach
Defect Summary
Iowa mold tooling co., inc. (imt) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 dominator-propane, dominator i, dominator ii, dominator iii, and dominator iv vehicles manufactured april 4, 2013, to january 22, 2016. the affected vehicles are fitted with imt series iii cranes, models 6000, 7500, 8600, 9500, 10000, 12000, and 14000, which have a valve bank cover that may crack and fall from the crane while the vehicle is being driven.
Safety Consequence
If the valve bank cover detaches from the crane it could be a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Imt will notify owners, and dealers will replace the valve bank cover with a thicker one, free of charge. the recall began on april 6, 2016. owners may contact imt customer service at 1-800-247-5958. Imt's number for this recall is tb2016002.
