Suspension welds may crack
Defect Summary
Pitts enterprises, inc. (pitts) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 lt, lp and pt logging trailers manufactured january 1, 2014, to may 31, 2015. the affected trailers have a single point trunnion mount suspension which may develop cracks in the welds between the suspension and the frame.
Safety Consequence
If the welds crack, the suspension can shift or detach, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Pitts will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the suspension for cracks and repair the welds, free of charge. the recall began on may 6. 2016. owners may contact pitts customer service at 1-800-321-8073.
